Shingle Roofing

Residential roofing services

Asphalt shingle roofing is one of the most common types of roofing materials in use on sloped roofs. Unlike flat roofs, shingle roofs often add to the design and style of a commercial building. Of course, if they are worn or storm-damaged, they can certainly turn an otherwise attractive building into an eyesore. A good roofing job can even make an incomplete house shine like a diamond in the rough

The heat and dryness of northern Texas can be tough on shingle roofs, especially when the roof is baking under the sun and then suddenly gets hit with cold downpours from the thunderstorms that can pop up. This temperature change from hot to cold can cause the shingles to age faster, too. On top of that, the thunderstorms sometimes bring hail. If you’ve recently had hail, it may have damaged the shingles, and could be difficult to spot, even for adjusters. We specialize in storm damage and hail damage work, and are skilled at spotting the signs of hail damage, and we’d be happy to have a look at your roof.

roof ventilation

From valley treatment and ridges, to starter, proper edge overhang, and flashing installation and replacement, there’s a lot more to a shingle roof installation than just nailing a shingle to the deck. We also do large shingle roofing jobs. From churches, to schools, to hotels and condo complexes, no job is too large for us. We’ll also check for proper ventilation of the roofing system. Improper ventilation is one of the biggest reasons that asphalt shingles don’t last as long as they should. If the roof overheats, it can cut the lifespan of a roof in half. So when we’re up checking your roof and writing up an estimate, we’ll make sure the ventilation system is adequate to meet the shingle manufacturer’s guidelines.

We’ll make sure that all the needed materials are included in your estimate, and that your roof is installed correctly.
